Hi, I’m Sherri Smith and I’m a Small Business Consultant who has specialized in providing business services and workshops to small business owners nationwide since 1991.

My bookkeeping service has been a favorite of my clients because it allows them to continue doing the creative work that generates revenue for their business while I do the repetitive, and time-consuming tasks that come with bookkeeping. I also provide my clients with an analysis of their current expenses and income while giving them the business projections they need to make informed decisions about sustaining or expanding their business.

I provide full-time and part-time bookkeeping services. Full-time consists of an 8-hour work day for 20 working days within the month while part-time consists of an 8-hour work day for 10 working days within the month.

How I benefit small business owners:

The below list outlines the ways I've benefited my clients for over three decades while supporting myself and building a sustainable business.

1. My services are a tax deduction to a business owner. Yes, you really can claim the services, workshops, templates, forms, and products you purchase from me as an expense.
2. Every service I provide is on an as-needed basis. The benefit is that business owners only pay for the service they need; when they need it.
3. Business owners hire me as an independent contractor. The benefit is that when business owners pay me they don’t pay me as an employee; which means there are no payroll taxes, paid days off, or benefits package.
4. I’m a home-based business. The benefit is that my overhead is low; which in turn is the reason I’m able to keep my prices low.

Some small business owners struggle to do everything themselves because they don't feel they can afford to hire an assistant. As I just mentioned, my services are a tax deductible expense which is great news!!!

When small business owners are spread thin because they attempt to do everything themselves they have a dozen priorities which when translated means they have no priorities. Priorities provide us with an immediate direction to take. From there we can create the tasks needed to accomplish the priority. When there aren't any priorities, things get worked on, but it feels like nothing gets accomplished.

A business owner's main priority needs to be generating an income for their business. Their assistants, 1099 subcontractors or W2 employees, are to make sure the day to day tasks are accomplished so the owner can do what they do best...create, develop, invent, etc. which is where I come in.

When I work with a client, my main priority is to provide business support services and workshops in the capacity the client needs. I provide those services through small business consulting, online business management, and virtual assistance. My services can be provided behind the scenes, virtually, or live thorugh Zoom.

Supporting small business owners is the reason I began my business in 1991. My desire to help them hasn’t changed in over thirty years.
