2024

New Year. New Slate.

In a few short weeks, a New Year begins.

Some business owners prefer to start each year with new goals, products, and services. Some prefer to continue with the goals, products, and services they already have in place. There are those with a goal of starting a business for the first time in the upcoming year. Whereas others have a goal to expand their existing business. There are also some business owners who want to focus on improving their workflow while implementing new programs that will help them reduce the time they’re spending on administrative duties and marketing.

Whether you find yourself in one of the above categories while we near the close of 2023 or you've just not had time to think about January coming around the corner, this email is meant for you.

If you have questions after reading through the below suggestions, please don't hesitate to hit reply to this message, I would love to hear from you.

Automation Helps Manage Your Time

The top three priorities in any business are: a quality product or service, customer care, and time management.

Let’s dig into ways to provide customer care and create time management at the same time.

Whether you have a service-based or product-based business; without customers you won’t be in business long which is why customer care is a top priority. Ways to provide good customer care can be created and also managed.

Time, on the other hand, can’t be created, it can only be managed, which is why time will always be considered the most valuable asset of any business owner; whether they own a for-profit or not.

The way a customer can reach or interact with you will always set the tone for any business transaction. That’s why the first point of contact from a customer should always be followed up with an automated response; whether they’re asking a question or making a purchase.

Landing pages are a great way to create a point of contact for a customer. They can be setup to create several automated responses at the same time which will allow any business to create great customer care. The automated responses can be, thank you, confirm your email, and also provide your customer a freebie download, or redirect them through a link about a special offer you have available, all within just the one landing page. You can use individual landing pages, if you prefer; such as one for a contact page, a sign-up for your newsletter page, or a free lead magnet. You can also use landing pages to sell a product/service or during special offers; such as a Holidays or a new product or service offer. Every point of contact form can be tagged; for example, it would create a great way for you to separate those who purchase your services or products from those who sign-up for your lead magnet.

If you’ve not created landing pages yet, I highly recommend using ConvertKit. ConvertKit is free to use until you have 1,000 subscribers. And, whether you’re just starting your business or you’re a seasoned business owner, it’s never a bad thing to keep expenses low. ConvertKit is straight forward to setup and has a lot to offer on the free version. However, I’m not going to sugarcoat it, setting up any program is time consuming when you’re not familiar with it. To begin setting up your landing pages on your own, CLICK HERE to sign-up for ConvertKit. Setting up programs is a service I offer. If you’d like for me to setup your ConvertKit, CLICK HERE.

Creating an easy way for your customers to purchase a service or product form you is great customer care. Creating that same experience for them while also creating an organized and automated workflow for you is great time management. And, as we already know, time management in any size business is a must.

An easy way for your customers to purchase from you can be as simple as setting up a product page through ConvertKit. However, if you have numerous services and products to sell, it will be easier to setup a cart. For setting up a cart, I highly recommend ThriveCart. ThriveCart easily connects with ConvertKit so you don’t have to worry about keeping track of your customers.

ThriveCart will keep track of your sells and you can use it in conjunction with any sales funnels or upsells. You can create your fulfillment center in ThriveCart so shipping labels can be simple if you are shipping physical products. ThriveCart is as straightforward as ConvertKit to setup. But, again, when you’re not familiar with a program, it may take you some time to set up. ThriveCart doesn’t have a free version, however, it has a one-time only fee which is rare to find these days. To begin setting up your cart on your own, CLICK HERE to sign-up for ThriveCart. If you would like for me to setup your ThriveCart, CLICK HERE.

ConvertKit and ThriveCart are ideal for every type of small business that sells physical products, virtual services, or printable products.

Let’s finish up with my last tip about customer care and time management.

For businesses that offer virtual coaching, webinars or online courses, I highly recommend LearnWorlds. LearnWorlds easily connects with ConvertKit so again, there’s no worries about trying to keep track of your customers. Their starter plan is less in one month than what some of us pay for our caffeine in just one day.

Between ConvertKit and LearnWorlds, you can create sales funnels, landing pages, lead magnets, and sign-up forms. With LearnWorlds you get a website to house your courses; whether they’re live webinars for one-on-one sessions, group sessions, or drip-feed courses. You can virtually create your own school with LearnWorlds and house all of your courses in one easy-to-use location. The setup is not any different from ConvertKit or ThriveCart; it’s very straightforward. The time it takes to get it setup, however, is also the same. If you’re use to setting up programs and you have the time to do it, I don’t expect you’ll have a problem setting this one up. To begin setting up LearnWorlds on your own, CLICK HERE. This is another program I offer as a service to setup. If you would like for me to setup your LearnWorlds, CLICK HERE.

If you’re new to business, setting up these programs are part of building a solid foundation. If you’ve been in business for a while and the business is running you, consider making a change to programs that will allow you to create workflows that can help you organize and systemize because they will ultimately help you sustain your business. As a business owner, you already know this, sustaining our sanity goes a long way!!!

Whether your business goals are to grow, hold steady where you are, or to get started, the above three programs can be a huge benefit in managing your time while providing great customer care.

If you need help setting up the above programs, I would be honored for you to consider my services. To view all of the services I offer, CLICK HERE.

God Bless, Sherri
